All of life is STORY - yours, mine and ours, from a million points of view, in various permutations, in endless combinations, with endless possibilities.
STORY Umbrella seeks to create experiences of some of these - to connect us to one another, to past present and future, to that which is beyond us yet imminent and near.
We live in an endlessly and imminently creative universe, and believe that creativity is a signpost to what God is up to in His world.
STORY Umbrella wants to make it possible to tell these stories with excellence, through the use of various media, and share them through forums, workshops, training, production, festivals - authentic and real stories that inspire and challenge, encourage and disrupt, make you think, make you feel, cry and laugh - stories that create and present meaning !
STORY Umbrella is pleased to present its 2nd Windrider Forum event - its 1st annual Refresh! event with Wycliffe College.
"As We Forgive" is showing Tuesday May 12th at 7:30 at U of Toronto's Medical Science building. This is a film that looks at the reality of forgiveness where none seems possible. We are pleased to also present an open-ended conversation with the filmmaker - Laura Waters Hinson - a conversation you as an audience member will be part of.
We really hope to see you there.
STORY Umbrella is an evolving organization with a mandate (through discovery and showcasing) to Encourage captivating storytelling connecting to the "Now and Not Yet".
Please be in touch with us - we need folks to encourage and engage with this initiative that we believe will have a significant impact on our story as a creative community, here in the city, across the nation and throughout the world.
If this is something that resonates with you and you think you would like to be part of creating an evolving/emerging STORY Umbrella, we would be delighted to meet with you around where your story and ours might intersect.
